Camelina oil
Camelina oil has proven to be difficult to grow. The weeds can easily take if over so I researched it carefully and found that the seeds germinate at zero degrees Celcius. This prompted me to spread the seeds on the snow in late February which had some merit. The big problem lately is that we go from sunny hot weather to very cold freezing during February and March so I choose day in late February spread it on the field and wait. If it fails I have to replant and start all over with the knowledge that I will have lots of weeds. |
