Computers and the internet

I know I am not the only person who is being subjected to fraudulent internet. The desire to sell fraudulent things is getting very bad. Even my banks have noticed the fraudulent activity and now there are all kinds of security measures in place. The fact that they do not work in my case is worth noting. To get into my bank I now require a code entered when you open the online banking software. Seems like a good idea at first but when you consider that the cell phone service here is non existent and the internet service so slow that getting a code over the cell phone and then waiting for the computer to respond sometimes denies me entry. If I call in it takes over an hour and I have great difficulty understanding the broken English from the call center in Mexico. Once I have waited about an hour to get an answer I have to answer security questions which many are not readily available for me such as the last entry on my account or the last amount I billed to my visa, both of which I probably have no idea so I get disconnected. Thinking about Credit cards that I another problem. Some companies use my credit card without my consent and going through the statements takes a lot of time so I have devised a plan:cancel the credit cards and that is to pay for everything in cash which has been working very well. No one has fraudulently invoiced me again since using cash. There is the very few amazon orders that still I must do for things not available locally but that is easily managed. The other complaint I have is that I am often required to visit with my bank advisor. This person is not an advisor but a sales person who want you to get as much credit as possible or invest in some portfolio which only increases the amount of money the banks get to lend out. For every 1000 dollars you save in the bank the bank loans it out at about $10,000 which of course goes to some environmental catastrophe and you are on the hook.

Perhaps I am being too unkind here but my move to cash has certainly made a difference in the difficulty of checking the credit card statements for fraudulent actively.
