Oct 26 2024, Nicolas came for a visit and took Jim out for a ride.

Oct 8 2024. Time to get the horses out and start plowing. I am just starting the plowing. Both the horses and myself take a little time to get a straight line and I feel rusty at the reins too. WE are oping this will be a camelina field but as with last year the very variable weather may make this not possible.

Aug 29 2024 .We overplanted the pasture with a hay mixture in hopes to have a hay field in 2026.

Aug 13 2024. Not a lot of bees this year nor are there any perisetic wasps.

We decided to do some selling at he local Tillsonburg maket.



Feb 20 2024. It is maple syrup time. Dorothee and I put in a few buckets and yes there was maple sap.



Feb 20 2024. Chief as looking so much better I decided to harness him up and team up with Ginger. It was wonderful!!! Chief is not perfect but pretty darn good for guy that a few months go was falling and not able to get up.



Feb 16 2024 Dorothee decided to split the firewood we brought in on the sled.



Feb 15 2024 And it snowed so I got the sled out and got some fire wood with Jim and Duke.

Jan 19 2024. Chief and Ginger always hog the main feeding area so Jim and Duke get to feed from the boxes in the field.



Jan 19 2024. Finally the cold weather came and the feeding area for the horses has frozen. Got to figure a better way to keep the grounds from turning to mud every fall. Yes they are sloppy eaters



Jan 4 2024. Jim got an abscess on his hoof so we soaked it then wrapped it with an Epson salt solution.
