July 11 2024 Joanie had a newborn filly and Roselinde named her Sorrel. We put them in a nursery while the sun was very hot. This proved some shade. Sorrel was born in July 8 2025.

July 1 2025. Was working on the combine when I realized the grain pan was in very poor shape so I decided to replace it.

June 18 2025 Bought a new horse a 21 year old Mare named Joanie who was pregnant!



June 22 2025finally got the new bin fixed and up!



June 19 2025. This has been a very busy time for us with many visitors and a lot of help from volunteers. I did not get a lot of time to take photos but if you were here you saw the activity.

This photo is of the four horses having breakfast about 6:30 am.It was a delight to see that Joanie has joined the herd and enjoying the woods when the sun is too hot.



June 17 2025. Looking at the crimped rye field... looks a mess but the sunflowers do come through.



June 15 2025. Yes we got two loads of hay baled and stacked in the barn with a wonderful crew of volunteers with incredible Persian food!



June 14 2025. Yes we have sunflowers growing... amazing as we lacked rain!



June 11 2025. Went down to Underhills and rented a fertilizer spreader to put the Tekmac organic fertilizer on the sunflowers and corn.



June 7 2025. I went to an Amish horse auction and purchased a 21 year olf mare that was pregnant!!! I checked her teeth by taking her over to a patch of grass but she was fine. She walked around with me very easily and had a very nice character so I bought her! Now can I deal with a new born horse???



June 5 2025. The rye is getting ready to shed its pollen so it is time to get the notill planter and crimper ready



May 29 2025. Jim got an abscess in hi hoof so he put his foot into a pail of Epson salts and water.



May 17 2025. Ali and Will mixing cement for our new Corn bin base



April 18 2025. I was having problems with Duke since he was rather erratic pulling as a two horse team so I put him in the middle between Jim and Ginger to use three horses on the plow and it worked very well.

It took sometime for me to adjust the plow for three horses but eventually it worked well.



April 5 2025 Here is Roslinde learning to pull logs... you can't start them too young.



Mar 13 2025. Roslynn made friends with Ginger which was very surprising since she is not a real friendly horse to most people.

Feb 24 2025 Dorothee making a horse blanket for Jim. I was worried that Jim would get wet and then the weather would turn cold and he would be cold.... so we made a blanket for him.

Feb 21 2025. This is patches up a tree... yes she enjoys being out in the snow... so we walk with Gandolf, patches and Tiger each night after dark through rain, snow or hail... not to be missed!

I was very worried about Jim being wet from the rain and suddenly the freezing weather so I put a fire in shop and invited Jim to get warm. Luckily Dorothee remembered we had an old rug which prevented Jim from Slipping on the floor.

Yes there was snow which means we had to clean the solar cells
